it still looks macam chiffon cake. kalau u tak tunjuk the left side of the picture nobody know it's a disaster. I am sure it still taste good. As for me.... tak berani nak cuba bake chiffon cake sbb I'll get pissed off so easily if it doesn't look right and refuse to cook until I'm calm down. Might take a week sebelum jijak kaki kat dapur. hehehe

Aha...someone who bakes you are. I've just started too. I believe baking does require luck. The ingredients may be right but luck may not be by your side. Zass...disaster!!

Try and keep trying, that's what I do now. But butterfies would still be in the stomach from the time the cake goes to the oven till the timer tinkles.

I LURVE baking. I find it highly satisfying and very rewarding. I also like decorating cakes as well. I think you'll get over your fear of baking someday. And then you'll find that you've develop a love for it.

Haha. This reminds me of my mom's story back when she started out life as a young wife. She had plenty of baking disasters stories.

Wanna know the real secret to baking? It require this little thing called "love". That's it. You gotta have the loooove!

Isn't that the worst feeling .. to forget an ingredient, even after you prepared it and read the instruction over and over again? I do it all the time. That is quite frustrating for me. But your chiffon still looked pretty great.

Hi! I recommend THIS recipe. The ingredients are straight forward and it has never failed me. I use 1 tsp of pandan paste instead of the pandan juice.

Also, I use a chiffon pan and I usually have to run a knife along the sides to remove it as it won't slide off by itself. So I'd imagine it'd be pretty hard to remove it from a bundt pan, what with all the ridges and non removable base.

Try the recipe above, you won't regret it! ;)

I think the secret to chiffon cake is the pan. I have never try bake chiffon but if I do I definitely will use chiffon mould.
